Turning tools typically use various types of tool tips. These tips are crucial to the turning process and come in different shapes and sizes. Some of the most commonly used turning tool tips include:

1、Rough turning tool: mainly used to cut a large number of redundant parts to make the diameter of the work object close to the required size. During rough turning, the surface brightness is not important, so the turning tool tip can be ground into a sharp peak, but the peak usually needs a small roundness to avoid fracture.

A fine turning tool is a type of cutting tool that produces a highly polished and smooth surface on the workpiece being turned. The round nose of this tool is typically larger than that of a coarse turning tool, resulting in a superior level of surface brightness and finish. When precision and a high level of accuracy are required in the production of machine parts, a fine turning tool is the ideal choice. With its ability to create smooth and flawless surfaces, this tool is essential in the manufacturing industry.

3、Round nose turning tool: it can be used for many different types of work. It is a common turning tool. When grinding the top surface, it can be turned left and right, and it can also be used to turn brass. This turning tool can also form a circular arc on the shoulder corner, and can also be used as a fine turning tool.

4、Cutting lathe tool: only the end is used to cut the working object. This lathe tool can be used to cut the material and turn the groove.

A screw turning tool is a type of tool used for turning screws or nuts. Depending on the form of thread, there are different types of tooth cutter available such as 60 degree or 55 degree V-shaped tooth cutter, 29 degree trapezoidal tooth cutter, and square tooth cutter. These tools are specifically designed to create accurate and precise screw threads to ensure a secure hold and reliable connections. Whether you are working on a DIY project or completing a professional job, a screw turning tool is an essential tool to have in your toolbox.

A boring turning tool is specifically designed for the purpose of turning drilled or cast holes, with the ultimate aim of achieving a smooth size and true straight hole surface. It is an essential tool for any precision machining process that requires perfect tolerances and accuracy. The tool is used to guarantee that the turned holes meet the required specifications and work properly, making it an essential tool for any manufacturing operation that requires precise machining.

7、Side turning tool or side turning tool: it is used for turning the end face of the work object. The right turning tool is usually used at the end of the fine axle, and the left turning tool is used for fine turning the left side of the shoulder.

Different blade shapes are adopted according to different processing methods of workpieces, which can be generally divided into:

1、Right hand turning tool: turning the outer diameter of the workpiece from right to left.

The left hand turning tool is designed for turning the outer diameter of a workpiece in a counter-clockwise motion from left to right.

3、Round nose turning tool: the blade is of circular arc shape, which can be turned in left and right directions. It is suitable for turning rounded corners or curved surfaces.

4、Right turning tool: turning the right end face.

5、Left turning tool: turning the left end face.

6、Cutting knife: used for cutting or grooving.

A tool used for turning inner holes is the inner hole turning tool.

8、External thread turning tool: used for turning external threads.

Turning internal threads is done with the help of a tool known as an internal thread turning tool. This specialized tool is designed for the purpose of creating precise internal threads.
