Milling cutter

The types and uses of milling cutters are generally divided into:

Rough milling with a flat end milling cutter can effectively remove a large number of blanks and finish milling small horizontal planes or contours in a limited area.

2、Ball end milling cutter for semi finish milling and finish milling of curved surface. The knife can finely mill small chamfers on steep surfaces or straight walls.

The flat end milling cutter boasts a chamfer that can perform both rough and fine milling operations. Its primary function is to remove a significant amount of blanks during rough milling. Moreover, it can be used for fine milling the small chamfer on the front face, which is relative to the steep surface.

Shape milling cutter is a type of cutter that comes in various shapes such as chamfer cutter, T-shaped milling cutter, drum cutter, tooth cutter, and internal R cutter. These cutters are designed to shape different materials into a desired form. Chamfer cutters are used to create beveled edges while T-shaped milling cutters are ideal for cutting slots and grooves. Drum cutters are useful in creating curved surfaces while tooth cutters are used for cutting teeth on gears. Lastly, internal R cutters are specialized cutters that are used for creating concave shapes. With these different types of shape milling cutters, the possibilities for shaping materials are endless.

The chamfer cutter resembles the shape of a chamfer and is differentiated into circular chamfer and oblique chamfer milling cutters.

6、T-knife, which can mill T-groove.

7、Tooth cutter, milling out various tooth shapes, such as gears.

A specialized rough milling cutter known as the rough leather cutter has been developed specifically for quick processing of aluminum copper alloy. This cutter is designed to efficiently and effectively cut through these materials, making it an ideal tool for industrial use.

Broach is a type of cutting tool that encompasses integral and combined broach mechanisms. Integral broach is used for central specification internal broach, while large specification and external broach require combined or assembled broaches. Broach tooth material classification includes high-speed steel broach or cemented carbide broach.

The internal broach is used to process the inner hole surface of various profiles, and its broach name is generally determined by the shape of the processed hole, such as round hole broach, square broach, hexagonal broach, keyway broach, spline broach, etc.

Internal broaches are capable of processing spiral internal splines and internal gears in addition to standard internal splines. The typical hole diameter that the internal broach can handle ranges from 10-120mm, but can also be extended to 5-400mm for special cases. The width of the broached groove is normally between 3-100mm, and the hole length is typically no more than three times the diameter. However, the length can extend up to 2m in exceptional situations.

The external broach is used to process the external surfaces of various ovens, such as planes, formed surfaces, grooves, complex mortises and tenons in steam turbines to replace the milling, planing, grinding and other processing of these parts. It is especially suitable for the surface of some parts in mass production such as automobiles, motorcycles, tractors and so on.
